Strong & Root

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness” (Colossians 2:6-7)

We must continue to use our faith and be rooted in Christ like an oak tree rooted in the ground. No matter the season, we can withstand because we are rooted in Christ. We must continue to exercise our faith just like we exercise our muscles to continue to be in shape and ready to withstand any season. It is my prayer that we continue to let our roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him.

Faith is our trunk of our tree and it exposed to the elements so it needs to be strong and able to withstand outside forces. It is also the part of the tree that never stops growing which means the trunk is the visible results of the depth of the root system; the more rooted the larger the tree. And the larger the tree the more leaves it will have. The leaves is the overflowing of thankfulness and gratitude...A life that overflows with gratitude shows maturity.

When we are established in Christ and secure and growing in faith; able to see God moving in each and every circumstance, then thanksgiving abounds. This is a beautiful picture of the redeemed life; rooted, secure, strong, able, mature, complete and continually bringing glory to God through a life of gratitude. WHEN YOUR FAITH IS STRONG AND ROOTED IN GOD THE LESS BOTHERED YOU ARE BY YOUR CIRSUMSTANCES...
